I haven’t yet begun, and already ‘the journey’ is reminding me how much it sucks to be old. Seriously kids; hit that anti-aging button before it’s too late!
The young 20 somethings that are your typical travel blogers/vloggers are like: “Yeah, travel insurance cost me like $200. It’s so expensive!” My annual plan came out to $1,120!
To be fair, I did pick one of the more expensive companies, because I’ll need to renew from the road (most companies require renewals to occur in your ‘home country’). And I am getting ever closer to 40 years old. But ~$21.50 a week was unexpected to say the least. Time to adjust my budget….
On the bright side, I was able to use my shinny, new, metal travel card. That puts me a good way to spending my first $3,000 in 3 months. I can practically smell the bonus points…. And that is how you save a bunch of money while traveling.
So, that’ll do it for this short, first post. The next, planned post will be my trip to Tennessee! Are you excited yet? I know I am!
